Ozimals Inc. have adorable bunnies, and pufflings. The store has a variety of starter kits, growth booster kits, and friendly staff to help you make your decision as to what animal you would like to have and are you going to be a breeder starting up your own business or having a pet. Candy Cerveau and Malkavyn Eldritch created Ozimals out of there love of animals and interactive games a little over 2 years ago. They have quickly soared to Second Life success with there bread able bunnies and pufflings. As you can see they are so adorable it is no wonder there group has more than 10,000 members. This ingenuous idea flourishes with photo contests and special editions, celebrating holidays and creating donations for various charities like Haiti Relief.

Ozimals by the magic of OZ

Many of us have pets in real life and it goes without saying that we would want pets in Second Life too.  Pets have value to humans (and their avatars) in a variety of ways. Many people keep pets for companionship or pleasure and they can be a source of income in the form of breeding.

Ozimals is the name for our line of breedable AI animals in Second Life.

The Ozimals team is made up of several talented long term Second Life residents. Heading up the team are the partners behind the successful Magic of Oz sim, Candy Cerveau and Malkavyn Eldritch. 

To begin with it was all about bunnies....

Our bunnies are adorably realistic, professionally sculpted, and full of variety. The bunny breeds we use are actual real life breeds and each one has custom textures that reflect the look and coloring of that breed.

Most of us understand at least the rudiments of genetics today. We understand that each plant or animal inherits half its genes from each parent, and that some genes are dominant and some recessive.  The Ozimals bunnies use a modified dominant/recessive genetics system (Ozinetics) that will enable you to breed for recessive traits to create the bunnies you want. Each bunny carries a specific percentage of recessive qualities, and you selectively breed those to achieve new colors and even special mutations!

When you breed an Ozimals bunny, you are producing true characteristics like fur, eye color, ear type, and more! Each variation is a separate, hand drawn texture. Those traits will show up as new features as you grow your warren.

 One of our primary goals was to create an animal that could be maintained for a reasonable amount. We’ve structured our feeding and care systems so that you can take care of the basic needs of your bunnies for a very modest price, and if you want to devote more time and resources to go deeper into the breeding and interaction process you can do that as well. We want to cater to the casual pet owner as well as the dedicated breeder.

And now we have introduced Pufflings, the most adorable, delightful, little birdlike creatures to continue our legacy of fantasy and magic. They are fantasy based, and they are designed to be very interactive with personalities and are breedable.

The Pufflings were created by Glinda the good witch for Princess Ozma (the ruler of Oz) for her birthday celebration! They live in the Palace at Emerald City on Magic of Oz.

Every year on Ozma’s birthday there is a public holiday in Oz and the people hold celebrations. Ozma’s friends always plan special surprises for her birthday, and because magic is common in Oz, these surprises are spectacular! This year’s biggest surprise was when Glinda the good witch waved her magic wand and turned all of the cream puffs into these adorable little Pufflings.
